Democratic Talking Points
Repeat when necessary

Debbie Wasserman Schultz has what you might call TALKING POINTS to avoid responding to questions or facing with reality. She used them in New Hampshire on 7th January 2012, next day on "Fox News Sunday," and as long as she can remember them, while keeping a straight face. Save yourself listening to her incantations by keeping this annotated list handy:
  • The facts are just staring them in the face.
[them being Republicans, Democrats being free to ignore facts]
  • When the president took office, he inherited the largest set of problems at once of any president since FDR.
  • He inherited an economy that was on the precipice of disaster.
[Take this on faith. Is Debbie an economic expert or not? Not.]
  • Thanks to Republican policies, particularly from President Bush, there were
    • two wars (before Obama started more, unpaid for),
    • two tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans (unpaid for),
    • and one prescription drug benefit for seniors (unpaid for).
[So when the Democrats controlled Congress and the presidency in 2009, they ended the wars, the tax cuts and the drug benefit that Democrats wanted in the first place?  No, no and No.
They extended the Bush tax cuts at the end of 2010.
Financing or ending the prescription drug benefit popular with seniors was never discussed and, by the way, was not a Republican policy, unless you considered dead Ted Kennedy a Republican.]
  • Bush turned a record surplus after Clinton into a record deficit.
[Stop whining about Bush, Debbie Wasserman Schultz! He sucked, we know. He was a progressive who expanded the Department of Education and every social programme, even began the corporate bail-outs Obama has championed.]
  • Under Obama, we have had 22 straight months of private sector job growth — 200,000 in the last month alone.
[what kind of jobs? and how many millions have dropped out of the job market and are not counted in the unemployment rate? Note that the 200,000 figure for December may be revised and is subject to change.]
  • Rescued America's auto industry
    Debbie does media
[from what? Thousands of American jobs were lost, replaced by Chevy Volts at a phenomenal cost to taxpayers of about $250,000 for each car produced. And GM still owe us billions.]
  • Stared down the health insurance industry to give us the Affordable Care Act.
[a law so reviled, most Democrats never mention it, whose most onerous parts (like tax hikes) kick in in 2013. Coincidentally, after the election.]
  • That narrative just doesn't work for them anymore They can keep repeating it, but the facts are staring them in the face
The moral: Debbie and the Democrats can keep wallpapering over the truth, but the facts are staring them in the face. Now it's up to the American people, at least those who vote.

Vote Libertarian!
It makes your vote count.

It makes sense.
